9/29/2017 Evernote Review

Evernote is an online note taking tool that helps keep everything organized and neat to use later when you need to study. I would give Evernote 4/5 stars because if i needed to go back and change some spacing issues, the cursor wouldn't show up and would delete some of the notes I had. The strong features with Evernote is that if you title each note section, you can later look up that section that has that certain information. The limitations are that the cursor doesn't allow you to go back and fix some spacing issues which then deletes some important information. If in college I needed to use Evernote, I definitely would because it will keep me very organized and not lose track of important information.

9/25/2017 Highlight Reels

I agree with what she is saying because there has been a time in my life where I thought my life was boring and not as "fun" as other peoples. But now that I look at "everyone one is different and somewhat failing." I don't feel so lame and have a better point of view on life. Social Media can become a highlight reel when you only post the good side of your life and nothing bad about it. What I see today is a lot NFL players tend to have a "highlight reel" type social media. They show some record they broke or some brand they sponsor. The harms that I see that could be potentially dangerous is posting something on there that could alter your future or could do harm to a lot of relationships, such as, being a five star athlete in high school and then accidentally posting a picture of that party you went to that you should not have. My biggest take away is that you should always be more careful on social media and always know that others are watching what you do. In my digital life, I have all social media but I do not really post much of myself on there. I really only use Snapchat, things like Instagram and Twitter I just use it for personal information or connecting with others.   

9/22/2017 Our Digital Life

A digital footprint is when you put something online and anybody can see what you posted and follows you throughout life.
Digital Citizenship is you putting privacy settings on any of your social media sites so its hard for others to look at

1. Always block someone you have never heard of. 
2. Never allow someone to use your account without your consent 
3. Never give out any private information on social media 
4. Always make sure you log out of social media (more prone to hacking) 
5. Never tell someone where you are living. Could lead to serious issues
6. Have a responsible parent or family member look at your account time to time.
7. Always be respectful to others, (people can see what you did if you bullied) 
8. Only friend people who you know in real life 
9. Look out for others who may experience bullying 
10. Know what your login information is. 

Social Bookmarking Reflection 9/22/2017

I liked Symbaloo the most because of how easy it was to put things into the bookmark and the site already knew some of the sites you would for sports or school. Even when it could not find the link, you could but in the URL and then it would go deeper and find pictures of the link to make it easier to find. Using the web mixes were the quickest way to find links to your sites.

9/19/2017 Intro into Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is a way of saving your favorite websites and making them easily accessible on the search engine start screen. Also can share websites with others that may or may not know about the websites you shared. The purpose of the Social Bookmarking is to share your favorite websites with others and can save them to the main screen for easy access. I rarely use bookmarking but when I do, I use ever-note. i manly use, YouTube, Google, Nike, Netflix.

9/18/2017 "Connected, but alone"

The TED talk we just watched was called "Connected but not alone." I talking about how technology today is ruining the social life of young students and adults. It discussed how if kids see there parents on there phones during breakfast, then kids are more likely to be just like them. My biggest take away from this is I didn't know that so many people did not socialize when around people, and i didn't know that when awkward, they went straight for the phone. I do believe that were connected but alone because around the area, I see people sitting by themselves and once they feel awkward, they resort to their technology and don't socialize around. I do like living in the digital age because of how easy it is to share things online and if you need to know information, its at your fingertips. I think on average i spend around 7 - 8 hours on my phone, manly listening to music. i have social media but the things like Facebook, Instagram and twitter i don't really use for myself but to look at others post. manly I use Snapchat to connect with others. I would rather have a conversation because it helps understand the person better and understand emotions. I like to listen to music manly but ill look at social media and text my friends.

Dream Businesses 9/15/2017

I based my creations from LucidPress, for the business I chose Lawn Care and Dog sitting because one of them i do pretty regularly and one I wish to do because you get paid to play with dogs. My business will be located here in Overland Park, Kansas. Well, Lawn Care requires a lawn mower and weed eater. Dog sitting you would need yourself.

9/12/2017 Gratitude

1. I am thankful for my family and friends and how they keep me sane and love me unconditionally.

2. I am thankful for football because I have something to look forward to each week.

3. I am thankful for my dog because he also keeps me sane but is always fun to play with.

9/11/2017 LucidPress

I liked LucidPress a lot more than I did with Canva. LucidPress allowed me to hit control V for pasting a picture instead of uploading it to the website then having to format it. I think i will be using LucidPress more in the future because of its easibilty. I would give LucidPress a 5/5 because of how easy it was to find everything I needed to use and build my posters. I definitely will enjoy using LucidPress more than Canva.

Magizine Cover 9/7/2017

I would give Canva a 4/5 due to the fact that I couldn't format the pictures the way i wanted to and it made some of them look a little funny. The options i had to make the colors the way i wanted was a real plus. The fonts made it look like a real magazine cover. I really liked the fact that i could upload pictures from another source and that even uploading the pics, they were still in high quality.

9/5/2017 My 3-Day Weekend

My weekend started with going over to my friend Tyler's house. From there we went to winsteads for dinner while his sister hosted a freshmen party. After winsteads we decided to go back to his house to either watch Interstellar or play cards against humanity. We then decided to do both. Then we invited over a couple more friends, Nick and Celie. We then chose to play cards against humanity with all four of us. Sunday night I went back to Tyler's and we watched more movies and played a game called apples to apples.
